This delightful man and woman German fairings remind me of George and Martha Washington. They are both sitting on stumps against a small cylinder piece with a hole on the top. Is the hole to hold a match? Both are unsigned. Age: Mid 19th Century Measurements: Approximately 5" in height Condition: Martha is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, etc. George, however, has chipped fingers on his left hand and a couple of pre glaze wall cracks to the porcelain. Otherwise, in good condition. |
