For your consideration is this fine Japanese porcelain Satsuma style cabinet plate. A temple sits in the hills against a landscape with a waterfall with Mount Fuji in the background. Yabu Mezien style maple leaves hang over the temple while an explosion of flowers surround the plate. All details are encased in gold relief. Hallmarked on the back.
Fine example of Kutani porcelain. Hand painted figures in three separate cartouches surround the teapot and the fourth cartouche contains handpainting of Mount Fuji and a house with cherry blossoms. Intricate gold work covers the rest of the teapot and lid. Hallmarked on the bottom. What this teapot also has is a porcelain tea strainer.
A wonderful example of early Japanese Satsuma depicted in this large hand painted Satsuma vase. The vase is in form of a bamboo limb with 6 figures around the center with Mount Fuji in the background. The figures could be deities, elders,scholars and possibly one samurai. Well painted. Beautiful large Japanese satsuma earthenware vase with irises on both sides and decoration around the rim. This looks like it was artist signed at one time on the bottom but it is mostly rubbed off and barely visible.
Measurements: Almost 14" in height with a width of approximately 10" at the widest point.

Exquisite Japanese Imari large bowl with display stand. The round center has a predominately blue and white scene. On one side of the bowl are elders and deities and on the other side people carrying instruments and fans. This bowl possibly tells a story of sorts in its different scenes. The original price tag from the Oriental Porcelain Gallery is still affixed to the back.
Rare large Japanese Satsuma earthenware figurine of a female, perhaps a goddess. Beautifully decorated, she is sitting in contemplation on a well hand painted rock. She comes on a 12" oval wooden plinth.

1920's Taisho period Japanese hand painted imari bowl with " Longevity" character. This bowl has scenes separated with medallions surrounding the bowl's sides both inside and out.The bowl measures approximately 8 3/4" in diameter with a height of 3". The blue paint has bled in small areas but there are no chips, cracks or dents to the bowl.
Pair of Japanese Vases, late Meiji. These vases are matte black with embossed gold relief. There is a hint of turquoise in some of the leaves. Hallmarked with the Satsuma seal on the bottom. Each vase measures 6" in height. They are in excellent condition.
