Stunning Lenox cabinet or service dinner plates. This is a set of 12. Each ivory porcelain plate has 2" decorated rim, framed with two distinct and different gold encrusted embellishments on a cobalt blue background. The raised gold dots were meticulously applied clearly by someone of great talent.
Set of 8 plates by Heinrich & co.,Selb, Bavaria decorated by the Pickard Co. of Wisconsin. Pickard was known for their quality hand painting and gold work. A floral basket transfer is in the middle of the plates. They measure 10 1/2" in diameter and are in excellent condition.
I love the Chinese red color of these Japanese lacquer plates. They have on the top the image of "Daruma" with his deeply furrowed brow and stern expression. Daruma is a symbol of good luck and protection in Japan. These plates date mid Showa period. This set contains 12 plates with a diameter of 11 3/4" and are in excellent vintage condition.
Set of 8 reticulated plated by Keller and Guerin manufactured in Luneville, France in the old Strasbourg tulip pattern. There are varying designs on the plates from the Strasbourg Tulip pattern. These are 19th Century plates and could possibly be soft paste porcelain. A bit of crazing on the plates as is common and a few have a bit of darkening to the porcelain but it is not very noticeable.
