Very decorative Victorian wire basket. Possibly French in origin. Most probably intended for bread rolls. This wire basket is braided along the top edge as well as around the bottom seam.

For your consideration is this genuine alligator handbag, made in Argentina from Argentina gators. It is very soft and supple and has a great snap closure. It is lined in soft suede. The handle is probably just embossed leather.
