Pair of Antique wood carved elders probably taken from a Chinese temple arch. The figures themselves are 19th century with wooden nails on the back. They were later placed on wood lacquered bases. They are not the same but work as mirror images. Great color and patina. Old felt on the bottoms.
Exquisite pair of 19th Century Chinese Temple Incense Burner Holders. Made of hardwood, then painted and lacquered. Each side is carved differently. One age wear crack across the top of one and a nick on one edge of one of the bottoms. Otherwise in excellent condition. The tops are 12 1/4" square and 12 1/2" high. The Bottoms are 16 1/4" square. These items will require professional packing.
